New Haven Memory Lab: Keeping Family Archives In-Person
Many of us serve as keepers of our family history, working to ensure stories, photographs, documents, and other records are preserved and passed on to future generations. However, family archives can present unique challenges and the work of compiling and maintaining them can feel daunting. In this program, archivist Jennifer Coggins of Yale’s Beinecke Library will discuss strategies for organizing, describing, storing, and sharing your family archives. Whether you are an experienced family archivist or just beginning to explore ways to preserve your history, this program will offer helpful insights and practical advice for your archival project.
