Mitchell Book Club - The House on Mango Street In-Person

The Mitchell Book Club generally meets the second Thursday of each month at 2 PM.  This month in partnership with the Festival of Arts and Ideas we will be reading and discussing the Big Read selection, "The House on Mango Street" by Sandra Cisneros.  In this book Cisneros introduces Esperanza Cordero who is navigating identity and coming of age in a poor Chicago neighborhood. The novel is written through a series of poetic vignettes.  Copies will be available to borrow at the Mitchell Branch Library circulation desk.
