America 250 for Teens: The Revolutionary War in CT In-Person

Join historical reenactor Aimee Toms to explore what life was like for men and women during the Revolutionary War. Learn about Connecticut’s role in the fight for independence, then make a hands-on 1700s-inspired craft. Open to teens in grades 7–12—perfect for anyone interested in history and looking for a creative outlet!

Beginning in 2015, Aimee Toms has hand sewn, made stew, and slept on the ground through ten wonderful years of reenacting the Revolutionary War with esteemed sites such as Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Fort Ticonderoga, and Fort Lee Historic Park, among many others. Her joy in the hobby stems from being able to share the knowledge and stories of many incredible people throughout the war and from the wonderful historians, educators, and friends she gets to work beside.
