Join our friends from the International Festival of Arts & Ideas for a free screening of The Hand of God. 

 

Set in 1980s Naples, Italy, the film follows Fabietto Schisa, a teenager who is passionate about cinema and football. When his local team, Napoli, buys Diego Maradona, Fabietto stays home to watch Maradona play instead of going with his parents on vacation. The film is a personal story for Sorrentino, who uses the coming-of-age genre to turn his own tragedy into a fable about family and creativity. Director- Paolo Sorrentino
