South Central Regional Council of Governments tabling @ Ives In-Person

In March 2024, the South Central Regional Council of Governments (SCRCOG) submitted the Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) for New Haven County to the EPA as part of the federal Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG). Now, they are excited to begin working with their team on the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP)! While the PCAP is focused on short term action items that can reduce air pollution in the region, the CCAP is focused on long term solutions to reduce air pollution up to 2050 and beyond.

The geographic area that the plan covers, the old boundary of New Haven County, includes all fifteen SCRCOG municipalities along with twelve municipalities in the Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments. The plan will aim to define and prioritize a list of actions that municipalities and regional partners can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (more information is available here: https://www.cprgct.org/). SCRCOG is looking for your feedback about which solutions to reducing air pollution in our region are most important to you.
